About Us

We are sold out for Jesus, his kingdom and his purposes, pure and simple. There’s a verse in the Bible that says, “I’m not ashamed of the Gospel!” – that sums us up. The word “gospel” means “good news” and we believe the gospel of Jesus is the best news there is! Our aim as a church is to know Jesus better and tell everyone about him!

We Believe

The Bible is perfect, powerful and true – it gives us all we need to live the life God has for us. (2 Timothy 3:16, Psalm 119:160).

God is Father, Son and Holy Spirit.  (Ephesians 4:4-6; Colossians 2:9; 1 Corinthians 3:16).

We are saved by grace, through faith in Jesus Christ – he made the way through his death and resurrection. (Acts 4:12; John 14:6; Ephesians 2:8).

Jesus is coming back again and he will judge all right and wrong. (Acts 1:11; Revelation 22:12).

We should live lives that reflect Jesus. (1 Peter 1:15-16; Romans 12:1).

We are baptised in water as a symbol of new life. (Matthew 28:19; Acts 2:38).

The Holy Spirit empowers us in telling people about Jesus and in encouraging and strengthening the church (Acts 1:8; 1 Corinthians 12:7).

Our Heart

To bring good news and be good news to everyone we meet.

To live by the Bible and stand for truth and justice.

To be a church that exists to serve our community, especially those most vulnerable and in need.

To draw people to Jesus and the hope we find in Him alone.

Safeguarding

At Connect we take safeguarding very seriously, and we work hard to ensure that our church is a safe environment for everyone who walks through the door, especially children and vulnerable adults.
